Some other suggestions:
1. Test personalization using PURL's and landing pages.
2. For list tests, test the minimum amount of names you can. You can project out what results you would get if you mailed the entry universe by multiplying the rest of the names on the list times the response rate.
3. Always leave room on a roll out for variance. If a list pulled 1%, results on a roll out could be different.
4. On sales letters, forget about the principles of grammar. Keep sentences short, punchy and to the point. State your offer up front, in the first 1 or 2 lines.

Google has replied but their reply provided little value. Yes, their logo and the footer text identify the corporate name. This is a common practice for all of our landing pages and others have no issue. We are nearing a relaunch with a different domain name. I am excited to see if we duplicate this. My guess is, no. I will share once we are ready to relaunch our test. I think I will save my full analysis and results for the next conference that I speak at.
I don't know WordPress from a wafflepress; I have a squeeze page which was done for me by someone else. I'm not that happy with it and don't know what to do with it. She also gave me an instruction manual to make a website but ……I'm hopeless (and content is missing from the manual). So I'm stuck. I have content, want to do affiliates…where do I go from here?

Duncan, I would highly recommend posting some sort of a warning about Revou. Specifically they are Alstrasoft rebranded.
Do some quick searches for “Alstrasoft Problems” and you will see their track record is horrid. They have built their business around very well designed landing pages to sell their shoddy software. They are quite responsive during the sales process, but once support is required they are Casper the ghost.
Revou & Alstrasoft should be avoided at all costs.

On the spoonfed design website I read an article explaining the importance of not only creating a final landing page for a client but coming up with variations of a landing page to perform split-testing on a site. Depending of the visits to either landing page A or B the client will get a feel for which landing page is more successful. There is also the multivariate testing which allows a client to put out 3 or more landing pages in circulation for testing.
I'd be curious, too. Though now that I'm getting three emails a week (a bit aggressive for a non-holiday season, wouldn't you agree?), I'm not sure I want to stay subscribed long enough to find out.

The Monster Drink web/blog is a little different as most of the posts are done automatically and daily that relate to the Monster Drink Industry. Plug ins for Word Press Direct do this automatically for me. I just post a couple of articles per week and practice my search engine optimization skills. The theory is that when traffic is driven to this web they might click one of the links that leads them to a squeeze page and they might just buy something healthy. Still have lots of work to do but it is a start.

In defense of a “squeeze page” let me say only one thing. That is, you must focus a buyers attention. Distractions abound in the modern world, and the squeeze page turns distractions off.

1)Apart from Google Network (google search) and Google Content Network… there is one more network where Google PPC ads appear called 'Google Search Network'.. its a part of Google network where google have partnered with other sites to display PPC ads based on the keyword search… e.g. AOL, Ask.com, Amazon… etc
2)addition to the 3rd point – Improve your landing page’s relevancy —> the keyword formula mentioned above mostly work in SEO and not PPC (acc to my experience) … PPC users look for the right and relevant information for what they are searching for and not bothered about the keywords etc in the landing pages. however having the 'keywords' in your adtext may increase the click through rate but ultimately will not have any effect on conversion rate. thanks

Other ideas regarding feeds and live data which may be of use were:
* A commit meter: showing commit activity by person or company over time
* Include ideas related to a package into the landing page
* Include feed from package team blogs into the landing page
* Include twitter feeds from package team into the landing page

My tip is to try and decide what the most important tasks are that you can do every day and make sure that you do those tasks firsts; especially if they are unappealing.

Assuming you're running an AdWords campaign, you might test your theory with a Performance Report . If you're achieving high quality scores, that would support your thinking.
The bigger question might be what are your goals? Custom landing pages could help you increase conversions. If your goal is to promote readership, you might think about creating a customized landing page that emphasizes the 30 day free trial. If it is to get new artists and writers to submit their work, customize a landing page around that topic and emphasize the value proposition(s). 2 is great if your not going to have any content on the landing page, it's balanced and it emphasizes the important stuff
but i have to do this, why a landing page? what benefit does it bring. There needs to be something here that is of supreme importance if your going to have a landing page that makes me click through to something.
